Hi friends! I tried posting to instagram today, but something about my phone being glitchy made posting a gallery impossible. So the blog gets an update, and maybe I get a new phone?! Well, I'll at least make one of these happen....

I want to introduce you all to Hayden W., from Hoover High School Class of 2019!

I'm glad I met Hayden and his mom Rita through another client of mine (Thanks, Pam!)

Great guy with a great smile....let me tell you that the camera absolutely LOVED this kid!!

Hayden plays soccer for Hoover and their program has had a remarkable season. Naturally, there had to be a soccer ball involved in our session. Don't you love the golden glow of the fall leaves??

After the soccer pictures, we went downtown for the real fun of the session. You never know what you'll run into on the city streets of Canton, so it's always an adventure!

I love all the color and texture in a city scene. Graffiti, brick, concrete, stone, ivy on old buildings....so much visual interest!!

And of course, what's a city session without the downtown street shot, complete with cars, stoplights, and a warm fall sky!

I do enjoy finishing my city sessions in this little alley way downtown that has some cute cafe lights and is a great place to catch a beautiful sunset. We timed this session perfectly to get these pictures at the end of the night.

There is always so much excitement and adventure in a city. Even though Canton is not New York City, there are still a lot of visually interesting sites and places to take pictures.

I really enjoyed this session with Hayden, and wish him luck as he finishes his senior year and makes decisions about college!

Keep Smilin'!

Jennifer

Guys...I haven't blogged in so long! Writing is such a therapeutic way to release and recharge myself, and boy have I been deeply in need of a stress reliever and invigorating recharge!

My summer and fall have been incredibly busy with the highest number of senior inquiries and sessions in my career. I had some pretty amazing seniors this year with great personalities and involvements, and am so excited about the successes and memories I've been a part of for this Class of 2018.

I took a much-needed family vacation in early November and enjoyed some wonderful memories with my family and friends. Florida never disappoints, and we had a fun-filled vacation full of theme parks and beaches, good food and great times.

And now I'm back in the O-H with a final push before Christmas and a little slow down after the holiday season is complete. Some much needed catch-up time and time to refresh and renew for the new year!

Speaking of the new year....I just have a feeling that 2018 is going to be a great year. I'm already looking forward to spring with an upcoming maternity and newborn session already in the books, and several juniors who have already expressed interest in my senior program! I'll also have the opportunity to work with some great organizations and businesses, as well!

In addition to my business growth, I'm also looking forward to some professional and personal growth as I'm joining one of my favorite photographers, Meg Bitton, on a yearlong photography project called "Journey 2018". I always think about and aspire to doing a photo-a-day 365 project, but find it to be time-consuming and even a little bit overwhelming to do in a self-directed manner. I am hopeful that with the help of Meg and fellow photographer Sarah Morris, I will find the passion and push to commit to this project and see it through. I hope you might follow along on my "Journey 2018", and even consider doing your own project.

Well, friends, the passion is real and the time is now. Thankful for everything and everyone that has been a part of my growth so far, and looking forward to all that is to come!

Keep smiling!

-Jennifer :)

July is one of my favorite months of the year. It's all about America, fireworks, family, and fun, and all of the above make for some super great photo sessions.

The month kicked off with a very large family session...4 generations to be exact!

We chose an Americana themed session with an old historic house, a beautiful front porch, and a railroad tie fence. Because when you're talking about 4 generations of people, you want something simple and classic.

So many small-ish kiddos, but getting them to smile and look cute? No problem....they clearly had that handled all on their own!! (Make sure to hover over the picture and use the arrows on the left and right to scan through the slideshow!)

We did a mega-session with many different arrangements of kids, parents, grandparents, great-grandparent and even a great-aunt! (Also a slideshow).

It's clear how much this family means to one other, and how much fun they have together.

Family is life's greatest blessing, and these folks certainly prove why that statement is true. If you would like to see more from their session, please visit the gallery tab and click through to their session! Thank you, Perks family, for allowing me to be your chosen photographer for this very special session!
