I don't know about you, but I'm more than ready to leave 2020 in the dust, and move on to 2021. Between the never-ending pandemic, to the (also never-ending) election drama, 2020 has been a test of patience and perseverance unlike any other.

But a new year brings new hope and new challenges, a bit of excitement, and even a bit of anxiety. If nothing else, 2020 has taught us to observe and appreciate the world and people around us. A year of separation and isolation from others makes those memories even more precious. Whether it's photographing important occasions and memories with loved ones, or capturing some special moments on a family vacation. Each new YEAR brings the feeling of reinvigoration, this is also a good time to remember each DAY can bring that same rejuvenation.

It's easy to fall into a "rhythm of regular"...where every day feels the same. Sometimes it's mundane, sometimes ordinary, sometimes even boring. Sometimes I feel stuck in a constantly revolving door of wake-up, school, practices, homework, and bedtime. And sometimes it's hard to break out of that seemingly endless rut.

Yet somewhere in that "everyday madness" lies a little magic. An opportunity to see more. More presence. More purpose. More challenge. More growth.

My challenge for 2021 is to capture that. Capture the everyday magic. Document photographically not only how this world is changing, but how it is changing me.

I invite you all along for the journey. I think this year is about to be special!
