Recently I spent an evening creating some very special pictures for some very special Parents-To-Be!

Meet Ryan and Amanda and Baby Carson!

Amanda and Ryan were gifted their maternity and newborn photo sessions from their family at Christmas, and they were thrilled to have such a special way to commemorate this special time as their young family grows.

We spent and evening at the park finding some perfectly beautiful light and even some patches of wildflowers that provided all the pop and pizazz that a photographer could ask for. Add a gorgeous couple and the cutest 'lil bump and it's a recipe for perfect maternity pictures!

And I couldn't forget to mention the "first baby" of this mommy and daddy! This pup is also quite eager to meet the new little one!

I'm excited to meet baby Carson, but not nearly as excited as his mama and daddy (and ALLLL the other family and friends that have been waiting 9 LONG months for his arrival!!!

Stop back in a few weeks to meet this sweet little fella and share all the happiness and joy as this young couple becomes a FAMILY OF THREE!!

Friends, Family and Fans of JNP....Meet Liv P. Hoover HS Class of 2023!

Liv comes to me as a referral from a previous senior client, and again, I can't be more thankful for my clients that continue sending new referrals my way! I have been blessed with an amazing referral program that introduces me to amazing seniors and families year after year!

Liv's family has ties to the Zoar area, so Zoar Gardens was a natural choice for this session. To my surprise, when we arrived, there was a wedding scheduled for the gardens, so we were limited to the areas around the central garden area. This was one session where I had to think on my feet and pivot from how I originally envisioned the shoot going.

But....no sweat for this beautiful girl! We found so many locations around Zoar with buildings, walkways, steps, and flowers.

Did I mention the light? Yes, the setting sun gave us some glow that was unimagineable golden and ethereal.

We finished the session at the iron truss bridge in Zoar. I love, Love, LOVE the bridge with all its photographic elements- leading lines, symmetry, framing- you name it, this location delivers!

I had a lovely time photographing Liv and spending the evening with Liv and her mom in Zoar. Our quick change in plans on location made me think quick, but Liv was calm, cool and collected and had no qualms about how amazing her pictures would turn out! She's a beautiful representative of everything I love about our young people!

Liv, thank you for the amazing senior session! Congrats on your senior year! Go live your life and do amazing things! "One day, you'll look back and see that all along, you were blooming!" - Morgan Harper Nichols

Friends, Family, Countrymen, lend me your ears (and your eyes!). Meet Casey L., Jackson High School Class of 2023!

I know, I know....that opening is a little exuberant and regal. But they say "Your hair is like your crown. Wear it like a king." and what could be more fitting for a senior with this great crown of hair than a senior session at a castle?

Casey and his mom, Jenny, spent a lovely afternoon with me at Glamorgan Castle and University of Mount Union for Casey's senior session. Who knew a castle could provide such versatility in terms of lighting, scene, angles, and shots?!

I've known Casey for quite some time growing up. Casey has been involved in various activities including scouts and soccer. Casey and I have an agreement- I buy his popcorn for scouts, and he smiles for my camera. It's win-win.

The castle is a beautiful backdrop, but the grounds proved just as lovely. There is a lake and trees that create some unique shots as well.

After exploring Glamorgan Castle, we ventured over to University of Mount Union and Casey changed into some business / dressy clothes. Guys.....doesn't he look fetching?!

Mount Union has great spots for photos- there's bridges, columns, steps, buildings, walkways, railings, and beautiful patches of trees, leaves, and light.

We ended our night with great light and a beautiful session full of pictures that I would have a hard time choosing a favorite from.

An interesting tidbit about this senior.....

I have seniors fill out a questionnaire when they book their session so I have some conversation topics or icebreakers when we meet on the day of our session. One of the questions on my "Get to Know You" senior questionnaire is "If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be?" Casey answered that he would like to have dinner with early hominid, a caveman. Honestly, I've always known he's been interested in anthropology, but this was one of the more interesting answers I've received on the questionnaire.

Casey- here's hoping you get to meet and have dinner with a caveman someday (that would be quite a story to tell!!), but until then, best of luck in your future, refining the use of tools in your own small business, and living long enough that you'll be someone that a senior from the future will want to have dinner and conversation with!! I really enjoyed working with you and look forward to the bright future ahead!
