I'm so excited to share with you my latest session with the Schrader family!
Adam and Rhonda come to me as friends of friends- acquaintances I met at another friend's gathering, and they reached out after dance season for a dance session for their daughter. When I offered them a family session with their dance session, it was a no-brainer for this sweet family of four!
Our location was one of my favorites....so many different places to grab pictures, and the light is always stunning.
Do you see that depth behind them? Beautiful golden sun glow, dark foilage for contrast, and some nice whites that are create some layers and beauty.
And I think it goes without saying....this family checked all the boxes for Outfits 101. Nice pop of color and great coordination between outfits! Great choices all around!
Photographing children can be a real experience. Kids don't love the "sitting still" part of photography. But most kids respond to some fun games and prompts. For example, "Look at the person who gives the best hugs!!"

Show me your best smile you would give to your teacher at school....
And now....your best smile you give to your mom and dad! OK, OK....it's probably not going up on the family living room wall, but this little guy's playful personality came out perfectly in so many pictures!
Speaking of personality....this sweet little lady is just the bee's knees! She's sassy, sweet, and just perfectly joyful! Doesn't she look like a beautiful princess in her ballet outfit?!
I think one of my favorite parts of the night was having time to play and explore and just enjoy the whole experience with and for this family.
